Summary: Turkey Taxi Fare collects no data that identifies you. Place and route searches go to Apple Maps, tariff updates come from our server, and app opens are counted anonymously. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking.

Location

The app uses your location ("While Using the App") for two things: while the app is open and "From" is set to My location, to price a taxi from where you are; and to measure the distance during a meter check you start. A started check keeps measuring when the screen locks or you switch apps (iOS shows the location indicator) and stops when the ride ends. Fares and distances are computed on your iPhone. Your location is never sent to us.

Data on your device

Saved estimates and finished meter checks (route, fare, distance and, for rides, the simplified route line) are stored only in the app on your iPhone and in your device backups if you use them. Deleting an entry or the app deletes them.

Network requests

Apart from the anonymous usage count below, the app downloads public tariff updates from taxi-data.eralpbayraktar.com (once a day, can be turned off, or when you tap "Check for new tariffs"). The request contains no identifiers or personal data. Like any web server, our server and Cloudflare, Inc. (our content delivery network) process the connecting IP address to deliver the file; access logs are kept for up to 14 days for security and are not used to identify anyone. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

When you search for a place or a road route, the search text and the start and destination coordinates are sent to Apple Maps to find the place and the route, under Apple's privacy policy. If the start is My location, that position is the start coordinate, and Apple Maps also looks up its address (district and province) so the app can choose the city tariff.

Anonymous usage count

When the app is installed from the App Store, each time you open it (at most once every 30 minutes) it sends one request to app-ping.eralpbayraktar.com with only the app's name, its version and whether this is the very first open. It contains no device or user identifier and no device data, and no IP address is stored. We use it only to count how often the app is opened: it is not used for advertising or tracking, not shared with anyone and not linked to you.

What we do not do

We do not collect names, e-mail addresses, locations, device identifiers or usage statistics linked to you, do not use cookies or advertising identifiers and do not sell or share data. The app contains no third-party SDKs.

Children

The app is not directed at children, and we collect no personal data from anyone.

Your rights

We hold no personal data from the app, so there is nothing to access or delete on our side. You can contact us at [email protected] and complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
